Before You Start
Prerequisites:- Active BeatSquares account with newsletter access
- At least one Square created with the “newsletter” output format
Each square has a specific output format. To create a newsletter, you need a square with the output format “newsletter”.
- Newsletter content and messaging strategy
- Articles or content sources to include
- Brand assets (logos, colors, fonts) if customizing
Creating Your Newsletter

Navigate to Your Square
Go to your dashboard and click on the square where you want to create the newsletter.

Create Newsletter
Click on Create newsletter button in the square interface.

Name Your Newsletter
Type a name for your newsletter in the name field.

Editing Content Segments
Newsletters are built using segments. Each segment can contain custom text content or articles, events or press releases. The segments are pre-defined per Square as part of the so called “Blueprint”. If you want to change the segments, please contact BeatSquares. You’ll edit segments one at a time.Editing a Manual Content Segment

Add Content Segment
Click on Click to add content to create a new segment.

Add Text Content
You can add custom text content to your segment. Click on Click to add content again to add a text element, or highlight existing text to edit it.

Edit Text Content
Click on highlight to select and edit text, or paste content directly into the element.

Save Your Content
Type your content (for example, a greeting like “Guten Morgen!”) and click Save to save the segment.



Adding Articles to Segments
After creating a content segment, you can add articles to generate newsletter content based on your selected articles.1
Add Article to Segment
Click on Add article to Segment to select articles for this segment.

Select Articles
Check the articles you want to include in this segment. Available articles are based on the categories chosen in your Square settings.

Generate Segment
Click Generate to create newsletter content for this segment based on the selected articles.

Add Content to More Segments
Repeat the process to add more segments. Click Add article to Segment again to create additional segments with articles.





Reviewing and Editing Segments
Once your segments are generated, you can review different variants and make edits.1
Access Newsletter
Click on your newsletter name to view all segments and variants.

Check Variants
Once segments are generated, you can check different variants (Var 2, Var 3, etc.) by clicking on the variant tabs.

Edit Segments
Click on edit to make changes to any segment as needed.

Verify Segments
Click Verify to confirm the segment content is correct.

Regenerating Segments
If you want to switch a segment to use different input sources or regenerate the content, you can use the regenerate feature.1
Select Segment to Regenerate
Click on highlight to select the segment you want to regenerate.

Regenerate Segment
Click on Regenerate to switch the segment to use different input sources.

Select Source Type
Choose your content source. Click on Events or Press Releases depending on your content type.

Verify Regenerated Segment
After selecting new sources, click Verify to confirm the regenerated segment.

Overview Segments
Overview segments use the content of the other segments and generate an overview.1
Generate Final Segment
Once all other segments are verified, click Generate segment to create the final newsletter content.

Publishing Your Newsletter
Once all segments are verified and you’re satisfied with the content, you can publish your newsletter.1
Publish Newsletter
Click Publish to finalize your newsletter.

Access Published Newsletter
Click on your Newsletter Name to access the published newsletter.

Copy to Clipboard
Click on Copy to clipboard to copy the complete HTML newsletter. You can then paste it into your email tool.
